Itineraries

You will be picked up at your hotel or the pre-arranged meeting point at 8:30 in the moring and drive to Persepolis (60 km), the seat of the Achaemenid Empire, founded by Darius in 518 B.C. This glorious heritage includes throne rooms, monumental stairways, and numerous bass reliefs. After exploring the phenomenal ruins of Persepolis, drive for a couple of kilometers and visit Necropolis, an ensemble of ancient and artistic masterpieces from the Achaemenes and Sassanid Empires. Then you will drive toward Pasargadae, the first capital of the Achaemenid Dynasty, ruled by Cyrus the great. This complex includes the palaces, the garden, and the tomb of Cyrus, all revealing the very first architectural masterpieces of the Achaemenid Empire. You will drive back to Shiraz in the afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel around 6 pm.
