Although most of the travelers who make a tri to Iran choose this destination because of the historical building and cultural sites located in cities like Isfahan, Shiraz, Yazd, and most of them take the Iran Golden Triangle Tour, this wide country has numerous attractions including natural wonders and untouched cultures. Located in the south of Iran, Qeshm Island is one of the best destinations for travelers who seek more adventure in Iran.

Qeshm Island

Qeshm Island is located in the south of Iran at the heart of the Persian Gulf and with 120 kilometers length and 10-35 kilometers width, this is the biggest island in the Persian Gulf. About 150,000 residents including locals and immigrants who have moved here for work are currently living in the city of Qeshm or the small villages on this island. Qeshm Island weather is hot and dry and the average temperature on the island is approximately 27 °C (81 °F). Therefore, the best time to visit Qeshm Island and explore its scenic attractions is from mid-October to April.

Top things to do and visit in Qeshm Island

- Hara Forest: Hara Mangrove Forest is stretched along the Persian Gulf beaches and the Gulf of Oman and 2400 kilometers of this natural wonder is located in Qeshm Island. The evergreen trees of Hara Forest are 3-6 meters high and get fed by the salty water of the sea. The water in this forest is 1.5 meters deep but the trees go under the water during the sea tide and make this natural attraction, which is inscribed as a nature reserve by UNESCO, even more amazing.
